ODNR Director David Mustine announced today the appointment of J. Michael Biddison as his Deputy Director of Resource Conservation.
COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Director David Mustine announced today the appointment of J. Michael Biddison as his Deputy Director of Resource Conservation.
Biddison will oversee the ODNR’s divisions of Mineral Resources Management, Geological Survey, Soil and Water Resources (including Recycling and Litter Prevention), and the Office of Engineering. He will begin his duties in mid May.
“Mike brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position that includes previous service as chief of the department’s oil and gas program,” said Director Mustine. “He is a proven leader with extensive background in natural resource management and development that will be a true asset to this department.”
Biddison began his career as a geologist and manager of field operations in the energy sector. He joins the department after working most recently for Advanced Engineering Associates International where he was involved in enhancement and market development of natural gas fields overseas.
From 1987 to 1990, he was ODNR’s Chief of the Division of Oil and Gas. Biddison left ODNR to serve a five year term as Commissioner with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. After leaving state government, he held a variety of management, operational, and administrative leadership roles in the water and energy development industries.
Biddison has a Masters of Business Administration degree in Management and International Business from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Mineralogy from The Ohio State University.
