ODNR will hold a public meeting in Amesville on Thursday, June 23 at 6 p.m. to inform citizens about coal mining, permitting and regulations related to coal extraction.

COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will hold a public meeting in Amesville on Thursday, June 23 at 6 p.m. to inform citizens about coal mining, permitting and regulations related to coal extraction. The meeting will be held at the Amesville Grange Hall, located on Main Street in Amesville.
Staff from the ODNR Division of Mineral Resources Management will be on-hand to discuss environmental and public health and safety issues associated with coal mining, as well as the division’s permit review procedures. Staff will also answer any questions related to coal mining or the coal permit process.
