A dredging project that will result in increased safe boating opportunities at East Harbor State Park is underway.
COLUMBUS, OH – A project that will result in increased safe boating opportunities at East Harbor State Park is underway, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

The project will dredge deeper and safer navigational channels from the entrance at East Harbor along the shoreline areas and will connect from the park’s campground launch ramp to the main boating channel entrance.

Approximately 255,000 cubic yards of material that is dredged will be removed and relocated to a Dredge Material Relocation Area on 30 acres of leased private property located south of State Route 163.

The project is expected to cost $1 million and take five years to complete.

The ODNR ensures a balance between wise use and protection of our natural resources for the benefit of all. Visit the ODNR web site at www.ohiodnr.com.
