ODNR, Division of Watercraft was honored with two prestigious awards by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators.
COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Watercraft was honored with two prestigious awards by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) at the annual conference held September 10-14 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to the ODNR, Division of Watercraft.
The Division of Watercraft received The Horizon Award presented by the National Safe Boating Council, in recognition for hosting two Essential Close Quarter Boat Control workshops in 2011 and training more than 30 marine patrol and state watercraft officers in the basic course curriculum.
Members of NASBLA’s Engineering, Reporting and Analysis Committee (ERAC) were presented with the Association’s President’s Award for their collective work in helping to achieve NASBLA objectives and goals. The ERAC Committee is chaired by ODNR Division of Watercraft employee Tammy Terry, of Amanda, who is a data analyst for the agency.
The ERAC workgroup reviews and analyzes boating safety data with an emphasis on improving reporting protocols and enhancing boating safety awareness.
