The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will dedicate Ohio’s newest state nature preserve, Daughmer Bur Oak Prairie Savannah, at a public ceremony on Monday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m.

BUCYRUS, OH – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will dedicate Ohio’s newest state nature preserve, Daughmer Bur Oak Prairie Savannah, at a public ceremony on Monday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m.
Daughmer Prairie is one of the largest remaining tracts of the historic Sandusky Plains, a 200,000-acre swath of tall grass prairie that covered Marion, Wyandot and Crawford counties prior to Ohio’s settlement.
