Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts will join Sean D. Logan, director ODNR, and others at the 43rd Annual Hocking Hills State Park Winter Hike on Saturday, January 19.
OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS INVITED TO ANNUAL HOCKING HILLS WINTER HIKE
LOGAN, OH - Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts will join Sean D. Logan, director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and others at the 43rd Annual Hocking Hills State Park Winter Hike on Saturday, January 19.
Hikers should gather at the Old Man's Cave parking lot before 9 a.m.; groups will begin walking to Ash Cave at regular intervals until 11 a.m. A hearty lunch of bean soup, cornbread and hot chocolate will be served at Cedar Falls, the hike's mid-way point. Donations are suggested for the refreshments.
The event is free and will take place rain, snow or shine. Hikers should come dressed in layered clothing and sturdy shoes.
Hocking Hills State Park is located about 55 miles southeast of downtown Columbus on State Route 664 in Hocking County.
