LITTLE MIAMI TRAIL SECTION CLOSED TEMPORARILY
Closure affects a 2-mile stretch

COLUMBUS, OH - A two-mile section of the popular Little Miami State Park Scenic Trail will be closed to bicycle and pedestrian traffic temporarily while engineering assessments are made of a bridge abutment, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).  The affected section, mile marker 3.5 to 5.5, is in Greene County near the northern trail head at Hedges Road.

Bicyclists approaching the trail from the Hedges Road trail head or the adjoining Greene County trail corridor and traveling south are advised to plan on turning around before reaching Spring Valley.  Trail users can resume access at Roxanna-New Burlington Road, or the staging area at Corwin which offers public parking and restrooms.

The expected timeframe for the trail closure will be determined pending a geotechnical investigation of the bridge abutment.  More information about the Little Miami State Park Scenic Trail is available on the Ohio State Parks website, www.ohiostateparks.org.

The Little Miami State Park Scenic Trail offers more than 50 miles of paved multi-use trail along the Little Miami River in Greene, Warren and Clermont counties.
