ODNR TO RECOGNIZE OHIOANS FOR THEIR COMMITMENT
TO THE STATE’S NATURAL RESOURCES
Ceremony to be held at ODNR’s Fountain Square Complex

COLUMBUS, OH – Former Summit County chief naturalist Bertalan Szabo, green space supporter Jean Woodhull, the late wildlife artist Charles Harper, and avid outdoorsman and conservationist Richard Pierce will be inducted into the Ohio Natural Resources Hall of Fame at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 6 at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Fountain (ODNR) Square Headquarters in Columbus. The Natural Resources Hall of Fame is the state’s highest honor awarded for conservation.

The Ohio Natural Resources Hall of Fame was established by ODNR in 1966. To date, 142 individuals have been accorded the honor, which recognizes a lifetime devoted to the preservation, protection and wise management of Ohio's natural resources.

The ODNR also will present its annual Cardinal Award for conservation achievement to John Ruthven, Jim Kerr and Dr. Horton Hobbs.

Directions: From I-71, go east on Morse Road, through the Karl Road intersection and past the former Northland Mall. At the light in front of the Bob Caldwell Dodge Dealership, turn right and then take an immediate left onto the service road. Turn right into the complex at the 2045 Morse Road entrance sign.
