OPEN HOUSE TO BE HELD AT MAUMEE STATE FOREST
Public encouraged to attend to ask questions and submit comments
COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry will host an open house at the Maumee State Forest headquarters on Wednesday, September 10.
During the open house, the public is welcome to tour the facilities, look over equipment, and review the operational plan. Information will also be available on upcoming timber harvesting plans and The Stewardship Trail, an educational trail located at Maumee State Forest. There will be Smokey Bear handouts for the kids.
This event is open to the public and comments are welcome. Maumee State Forest is one of twenty state forests in Ohio. It is the only state forest in northwest Ohio, and it covers 3,100 acres in Lucas, Fulton and Henry Counties.
