COLUMBUS, OH -- The resort lodge at Deer Creek State Park in Pickaway County recently received the 2000 Corporate Star Service Award from the Columbus Convention and Visitors' Bureau, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). The award recognizes outstanding customer service by a Central Ohio hotel or hospitality facility as determined by customer comment cards returned to the bureau by patrons.
Deer Creek State Park Lodge received 40 nominations, recognizing 21 different employees in areas such as housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, culinary and banquet service. The 40 nominations were the most received by a single facility in the history of the award program.
"Congratulations to Deer Creek Lodge for earning this prestigious award," said Dan West, Ohio State Parks chief. "It is gratifying to know that among all Central Ohio hotels and resorts, our lodge ranks highest in the area of customer service."
Deer Creek State Park Lodge is managed for ODNR by Delaware North Parks Services, a national lodging and hospitality corporation based in Buffalo, New York.
