COLUMBUS, OH -- Washington County resident Steven Weber has been reappointed to the Ohio Parks & Recreation Advisory Council by Governor Bob Taft. Weber's new term runs through January 31, 2005, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
Weber is a retired Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper and currently administers the Village of Lowell Flood Plain Program and the village zoning committee. He has served on the Ohio Parks & Recreation Advisory Council since 1993.
Weber's interests include environmental issues and wetland restoration, as well as the restoration of historical sites in and around Washington County.
The seven members of the Ohio Parks & Recreation Advisory Council provide citizen and constituent input on policies and operations of Ohio State Parks. The chief of Ohio State Parks serves as the council's secretary.
