COLUMBUS, OH Millersport resident Bob Cumbow has received the Ohio State Parks Leadership Award for 2005, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). The award recognizes Cumbow’s outstanding work as the manager of the waterway and construction section within Ohio State Parks.
The leadership award is given each year to an Ohio State Parks employee who exhibits exemplary customer service, community relations, employee development and overall attitude. Managers within the Ohio State Parks system throughout the state nominated him for the award.
“Bob stands out as a leader among his peers,” said Ohio State Parks Chief Dan West. “He has the respect and admiration of park employees because he does what it takes to get the job done, and done well.”
Customer service has always been a priority for Cumbow. He represents the division well by looking for creative solutions to difficult situations. He also leads by example and is a proponent of training and employee development.
