OHIO CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZED
BY OHIO STATE PARKS

COLUMBUS, OH - The Ohio Civil Service Employees Association has earned the prestigious Chief’s Award from Ohio State Parks.

The Chief’s Award is designed to recognize truly outstanding service and support of Ohio State Parks by an individual or group. It is the division’s highest honor and has been given only 10 times before.
“OCSEA has exhibited professionalism and outstanding support towards enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Ohio State Parks,” said Dan West, chief of Ohio State Parks.

OCSEA has played a key role in obtaining financial support for the state park system and continues to work toward a permanent funding solution. OCSEA provided essential administrative support to the Ohio State Parks statewide stakeholders group for the first Natural Resources Summit and Legislative Briefing, held earlier this year. The summit focused on the financial needs of parks, as well as three other divisions of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The organization also offered insights and ideas on the park system’s strategic plan; shared problem-solving skills as a partner on the innovative parks/ODOT employee program; and provided the park system with a new license plate design
