MANSFIELD, OH - Boaters can now enjoy improved access to one of the states most popular fishing lakes with completion of a renovated boat launch facility at Clear Fork Reservoir in Richland County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
The $167,000 project was completed by the City of Mansfield, which owns the 997-acre reservoir located on State Route 97, with a $125,250 Cooperative Boating Facilities Grant awarded by the ODNR Division of Watercraft. The project included removing and replacing the existing boat launch with a three-lane ramp. An improved access drive, parking areas and courtesy docks were also added.
Cooperative Boating Facility program grants provide funding assistance to local communities and agencies to improve existing boating facilities and for construction of new boating access ramps.
