COLUMBUS, OH -- Off-season boat and personal watercraft sales remain brisk in the state and boaters are reminded that Ohio watercraft titling has become easier in recent years.
Watercraft may be titled in any Ohio county, regardless of the county where the buyer lives or where the boat was purchased, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft. Additionally, boat registrations can conveniently be renewed online through June 30 via the ODNR Internet registration system at ohiodnr.com.
Ohio ranked eighth nationally in 2003 with a near-record 418,295 registered watercraft, ODNR reports. Recreational boating in Ohio contributes an estimated $1.5 billion annually to the state's economy and supports 19,500 jobs.
