PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE TO BE HELD JUNE 28
AT MOHICAN STATE PARK LODGE TO PRESENT
ODNR MOHICAN-MALABAR CONCEPT PLAN

LOUDONVILLE, OH -- The final version of the Mohican-Malabar Concept Plan will be available for review by the public during an open house held by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) at Mohican State Park Lodge from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28.

The ODNR Mohican-Malabar Concept Plan is primarily a guide to implementing facility improvement and recreation projects for ODNR-area properties, including Mohican and Malabar Farm state parks, Mohican-Memorial State Forest and Clear Fork Gorge State Nature Preserve.

The public will have an opportunity to review the final plan and to speak with ODNR officials and representatives of Behnke Associates, the landscape architects and planners hired to develop the concept plan.

The Mohican-Malabar Concept Plan was developed over the past three years with input from local representatives, organizations, individuals and facility managers.

The Mohican State Park Lodge is located in southern Ashland County, 15 miles southwest of Mansfield, at 1098 Ashland County Road 3006. The 1,260-acre park features the striking Clear Fork Gorge, a hemlock forest and the scenic Mohican River.

The open house is sponsored by the ODNR Division of Parks & Recreation and Division of Real Estate & Land Management.
