OHIO WATERWAYS SAFETY COUNCIL TO MEET JUNE 20-21 IN BOLIVAR

COLUMBUS, OH -- The Ohio Waterways Safety Council will hold its quarterly meeting from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the shelter house at Fort Laurens State Memorial in Bolivar on Wednesday, June 20.

Fort Laurens State Memorial is located in Tuscarawas County, on the south edge of Bolivar on County Road 102.

The five-member citizen advisory council, appointed by the Governor, provides input on boating issues to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft.

The meeting is open to the public. In the event of bad weather, the meeting location will be moved to the Atwood Lake Activity Center. Council members will be briefed by state watercraft officials on the status of ongoing projects and issues impacting recreational boating in Ohio.
