LEWIS CENTER RESIDENT NAMED TOP
STATE WATERCRAFT ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
FOR OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

COLUMBUS, OH - Todd J. Doncyson has been named law enforcement administrator for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft.

A 15-year veteran of the ODNR Division of Watercraft, Doncyson has extensive experience in watercraft law enforcement and boating education programs. He previously served as a state preserve officer with ODNR’s Division of Natural Areas & Preserves.

The Hocking Technical College graduate earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in recreation and wildlife technology. He also is a certified peace officer and graduate of the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy.

A native of Tiffin, Doncyson graduated from Mohawk High School in Wyandot County. Todd, his wife Julie and son Derek, reside in Lewis Center in Delaware County.

The Division of Watercraft oversees boat registration and titling operations, provides grant funding to local communities for enforcement, education and boating access facilities, educates the public, investigates boating accidents and fatalities, and enforces the state’s boating laws on Ohio’s waterways. These programs are user funded through boat registration and titling fees and through a portion of the state gasoline tax.
