TYSON NAMED FISHERIES SUPERVISOR AT SANDUSKY STATION

COLUMBUS, OH - Jeff Tyson has been named fisheries biologist supervisor for the state’s Sandusky Fisheries Research Station, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

In his new position, Tyson will supervise a staff of eight full-time employees and five seasonal employees, in addition to overseeing fisheries assessment and research for the western half of Ohio waters of Lake Erie. He also will represent Ohio on interagency committees that deal with fisheries issues on the Great Lakes.

Tyson, 34, joined the ODNR Division of Wildlife in 1994 as a fisheries biologist at the Sandusky station. He received both his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Missouri, where he specialized in fish and wildlife management.

Tyson resides in Danbury Township, Ottawa County, with his wife and two sons.
