SANDUSKY STATE SCENIC RIVER DAY RESCHEDULED
DUE TO LOW WATER CONDITIONS

COLUMBUS, OH – Low water conditions along the Sandusky State Scenic River have caused the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to reschedule the Sandusky State Scenic River Day that was to take place this Saturday, June 25. The event, which is part of the 2005 Natural Areas Discovery Series, has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 17.

The rescheduled event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Indian Mill access, located off of County Road 47 in Wyandot County, with a four-mile canoe float. The float will end at the Parker Covered Bridge. A stream quality monitoring demonstration will take place at Indian Mill following the float.

Those individuals registered for the canoe float will be notified of the cancellation and alternate date. For more information about the event, call 419-981-6319.
