FIVE NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED TO COASTAL RESOURCES ADVISORY COUNCIL
COLUMBUS, OH - Five Ohio residents who live and work in the Lake Erie watershed were recently appointed to the state’s Coastal Resources Advisory Council by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The new members on the 19-member board include:
Donald Barr (Geauga County), a builder/developer of single-family homes, cluster homes and condominium communities. He is a life trustee of the National Association of Homebuilders, a board member of the Ohio Wetlands Foundation and president of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
Joseph Hayberger (Erie County), a realtor, and member of the local, state and national association of realtors. He is also involved with various civic organizations including the Erie County Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and the Salvation Army.
James O’Connor (Lorain County), who works in advertising, owns property adjacent to Lake Erie and is a member of the Ohio Lakefront Group. He also coaches several youth sports in the Sheffield Lake area.
Chris Riddle (Sandusky County), who is the Sandusky River watershed coordinator and a member of various groups, including the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments Environmental Council, The Nature Conservancy and Leadership Sandusky County.
David Spotts (Ashtabula County), a maritime attorney and member of the Maritime Law Association, Cuyahoga Bar Association and Federal Bar Association, Cleveland Chapter. He has also served as a line officer in the U.S. Navy.
The next meeting of the Coastal Resources Advisory Council is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14 at the Mentor Beach Park Pavilion in Mentor-On-The-Lake.
