LAKE ERIE WING WATCH WEEKEND, APRIL 23-25, PROMOTES BIRD WATCHING
Ohio's state parks, nature preserves and wildlife areas offer great birding opportunities

COLUMBUS, OH - Bird and wildlife enthusiasts are invited to attend the Lake Erie Wing Watch, a birding extravaganza taking place at Lorain County Vocational School in Oberlin, April 23-25, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.

Wing Watch Weekend coincides with the spring migration of bird species, particularly warblers, thrushes and vireos as they make their way to spring and summer nesting and brooding areas. "This is an event for everyone, whether you are a beginner or expert birder," said Mary Warren, naturalist at Magee Marsh State Wildlife Area. "We'll have exhibits, bird identification sessions, field trips to birding hot spots in the area and even an eagle watch Sunday afternoon."
