GUIDED HIKES PROVIDE EXCELLENT SPRING WILDFLOWER VIEWING
COLUMBUS, OH -- One of the best ways to see Ohio's beautiful spring wildflowers is by taking a guided hike at a state park or nature preserve, says the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). A number of hikes are offered during the spring months, when more than 2,300 species of spring wildflowers bloom in our fields and forests.
ODNR offers the following nature hikes for spring wildflower viewing:
NORTHEAST
Spring Wildflower Walk at Malabar Farm State Park in Richland County.

Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve Open House in Ottawa County.

21st Annual Open House at Cranberry Bog State Nature Preserve in Licking County.
Saturday, June 26, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Created during the Ice Age, Cranberry Bog is a floating island of sphagnum peat moss located on Buckeye Lake.
