NEW BOATING LAWS GUIDEBOOK AVAILABLE FROM
THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
COLUMBUS, OH -- A new edition of the Ohio Boat Operator’s Guide, offering updated information on current laws and safety tips for boating on Ohio's rivers, lakes and streams, is now available from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
Produced by ODNR’s Division of Watercraft, the 58-page guide features a summary of state boating laws, including new regulations effective this year. The publication also contains many boating safety tips and facts from the division’s Splash Test DummiesTM. There are also several handy charts and checklists to make registering a boat and meeting equipment requirements easier.
The Ohio Boat Operator’s Guide is available at Division of Watercraft facilities and local watercraft registration agents. Boaters can call the division’s toll-free number, 1-877-4BOATER (426-2837) or e-mail watercraft@dnr.state.oh.us to receive a copy.
