COLUMBUS, OH - Vicki Mountz, a 16-year employee with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), has been named executive administrator of the Division of Wildlifes information and education programs.
Mountz will coordinate all aspects of the ODNR Division of Wildlifes education and communication efforts, including the hunter education program, Wild Ohio magazine and television program, media relations efforts and special outreach initiatives such as the popular Becoming an Outdoors Woman program.
Mountz started with the ODNR Division of Wildlife in 1992 as a public information officer. Most recently she served as editor of Wild Ohio magazine, producer of the Wild Ohio television show and as the Division of Wildlifes media relations manager. Mountz is also a past president of the Outdoor Writers of Ohio.
In addition to having served as a state watercraft officer, Mountz has also worked as a communications officer for the ODNR Office of Recycling & Litter Prevention.
An avid hunter and angler, she has also been a licensed fishing guide on Lake Erie. Mountz holds a degree in law enforcement from Akron University.
She resides in Centerburg with her husband Greg.
