COLUMBUS, OH - Scott Hull has been named project leader at the Olentangy Wildlife Research Unit in Delaware County for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
As project leader, Hull will oversee the ODNR Division of Wildlifes research on farmland species such as rabbit, pheasant and quail. He will also manage the division's research on grassland species such as the barn owl, Henslows sparrow and loggerhead shrike. Hull will utilize research conducted at Olentangy and at state wildlife areas around the state to make recommendations to update state wildlife rules.
Hull, 33, joined the ODNR Division of Wildlife in 1998 as a wildlife biologist. Hull received his Ph.D. in Zoology from The Ohio State University where he studied the impacts of grassland restoration on breeding bird ecology. He has also studied prairie ecosystems in Kansas, North Dakota and Oklahoma.
Hull, a native of Wisconsin, resides in Mansfield with his wife Jennifer.
