RESORT LODGE AT DEER CREEK STATE PARK TO CELEBRATE 25 YEARS
OF SERVICE AND HOSPITALITY
Silver anniversary events planned at the lodge for Saturday, June 3

MOUNT STERLING OH - The resort lodge and conference center at Deer Creek State Park in Pickaway County will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a round of special events on Saturday, June 3, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

The lodge, which opened its doors on May 16, 1981, features 110 guest rooms, Rafter’s Restaurant and Harding’s Lounge, banquet and meeting facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and hot tub, exercise room, game room, gift shop and other recreational facilities - all overlooking the 1,200-acre Deer Creek Lake.

“Deer Creek Lodge is one of our premier overnight facilities,” said Dan West, chief of Ohio State Parks. “Its strategic location - only about an hour’s drive from Columbus, Dayton or Cincinnati - makes it a popular weekend getaway destination, as well as a convenient site for business meetings, conferences and other gatherings.”

Anniversary festivities will begin with a Special Kids Program in the lower lobby of the lodge, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 3. A 2 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at the main entrance will be followed by a reception in the main lobby area.

Over the years, the Deer Creek Resort Lodge has hosted everything from business meetings to family reunions and wedding receptions.

Aramark Harrison Lodging recently assumed day-to-day management of the resort, along with the park’s 25 overnight cottages and the historic Harding Cabin, located on the lake’s north shore. Aramark also manages some national park facilities, including the marina and resort at Lake Powell in Utah and the lodges at Shenandoah and Denali national parks in Virginia and Alaska, respectively.
