COLUMBUS, OH - Pam Dillon, who recently retired as a deputy chief of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft, has been honored as the divisions 2002 Administrator of the Year.
The Ostrander resident is now serving as executive director of the American Canoe Association located in Springfield, Virginia.
Dillon, a native of Portsmouth, first joined ODNR as a park naturalist aide in 1976 and became a state watercraft officer in 1977. She later went on to serve as administrator of the public information and education section in the Division of Watercraft.
During 2002, Dillon helped lead Division of Watercraft officers in providing a record number of on-water boat patrol hours and a record number of drunk boating arrests. Her peers honored her with the Administrator of the Year award during a recently held awards program in Columbus.
