NEAPOLIS RESIDENT HONORED AS OHIO’S TOP WATERCRAFT OFFICER
BY OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

COLUMBUS, OH - Adam J. Prokop of Neapolis has been named the 2002 Watercraft Officer of the Year by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

Prokop, a 13-year veteran with the ODNR Division of Watercraft, is assigned to the Maumee Bay field office in northwest Ohio. He was recognized for his dedication to making Ohio’s waterways safer and more enjoyable. Prokop patrols Lake Erie’s western basin, one of the most heavily concentrated recreational boating areas in the state.

“A.J. truly cares about the boaters he encounters on the water and his commitment to boating safety makes Lake Erie a better place to boat,” said Ken Alvey, chief of the ODNR Division of Watercraft.
