Tired of standing over the stove? Then let someone else do the work this Thanksgiving. Several Ohio State Parks resort lodges are offering Thanksgiving packages that include special room rates and a buffet dinner, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Visit Burr Oak in southeastern Ohio, Hueston Woods and Deer Creek in southwestern Ohio, or Salt Fork in eastern Ohio for a relaxing getaway this Thanksgiving. In addition, the state’s five other resort lodges offer great fall and winter packages.
Burr Oak Resort and Conference Center (Athens and Morgan counties) - The Thanksgiving package, valid Wednesday, November 24 through Friday, November 26, includes two nights of lodging, dinner for two, a $10 gift shop certificate and all taxes. Pay $205 per couple in a standard room or $225 per couple in a studio room.
Deer Creek Resort and Conference Center (Fayette and Pickaway counties) - The Thanksgiving at Deer Creek package, valid Wednesday, November 24 through Saturday, November 27, includes breakfast on Thanksgiving morning, buffet dinner for two, and a football game party on Thanksgiving Day. Pay $285 for two nights, $365 for three nights and $415 for four nights. Rates are for a double room and tax is not included.
Hueston Woods Resort and Conference Center (Butler and Preble counties) - The Thanksgiving Package, valid Wednesday, November 24 through Friday, November 26, includes two nights of lodging in a double room, dinner buffet for two, $15 gift shop certificate and all taxes. Pay $280 per couple in a double room or $297 per couple in a Lakeview double room.
Salt Fork Resort and Conference Center (Guernsey County) -The Thanksgiving Package, valid Wednesday, November 24 through Saturday, November 27, includes your choice of three nights of lodging, dinner buffet for two, two breakfasts for two, a gift shop certificate and all taxes. Family activities are offered all week and weekend. Pay $459 per couple in a double room, $479 per couple in a king room with a bunk bed, or $489 per couple in a hospitality room.
