COLUMBUS, OH -- Ohio boaters will have the opportunity to voice their opinion this fall and winter on statewide boating priorities during a series of public meetings to be held across the state by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft.
These meetings are a great opportunity for Ohio boaters to let us know if we are meeting their needs in the areas of boating safety, education and enforcement, said Jeff Hoedt, chief of the Division of Watercraft.
Hoedt said results of these meetings will guide any necessary updates to the divisions strategic issues identified during similar meetings in 1996.
The first of a series of public meetings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on November 6 at the Division of Watercrafts Alum Creek Lake field office located at 3305 South Old State Road in Delaware County.
Additional meeting dates and locations include:
- November 13 at the watercraft divisions Buck Creek Lake field office in Springfield.
- November 15 at the Independence Civic Center, 6363 Selig Drive in Independence.
- November 29 at the Sandusky Sailing Club at Battery Park Marina in Sandusky.
- December 4 in Cambridge with a location to be announced
- December 20 at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, 4209 SR 44 in Rootstown.
