Dear Fall Color Reporter:
Ohio's Fall Color Season is quickly approaching and once again the ODNR Media Relations team needs your help in recording the change of seasons as it moves across the state. Beginning on September 26, we ask that you fax to us your weekly assessment of how fall color is progressing at your particular state park, nature preserve or forest. The reporting period will likely run through October 31, depending on the weather.
Each week, your report will be compiled into a table that will be distributed to the Associated Press in Columbus and then moved on the wire service to all their member media outlets.
The attached Fall Color Reporting form (download in .pdf format or word format) will look familiar to you. It follows the same format used in years past. I ask that you print it out and make extra copies to use throughout the season. Remember to specify if your facility is hosting a special event during the season.
Any additional notes you add to the comments section are helpful, especially if you are having any special events.
