Each of Ohio’s state parks offers facilities for picnicking, in scenic picnic areas.

The picnic areas offer picnic tables and grills, and most also provide drinking water and restroom facilities or latrines.

Many picnic areas have one or more shelter houses. Most can be reserved for a fee, and are available on first-come first-served basis when they are not reserved.

What you Should Know

• Special activities involving a number of participants may require a special use permit. Ask the park manager.
• Ground fires are prohibited except in grills or fire rings provided by the park. Do not move fire rings.
• Please use the trash cans or dumpsters provided.
• Pets must be on a leash at all times, and may not be left unattended. Please clean up after your pet.
• Don’t feed wildlife.
