Consider using a live tree for your Christmas decorations this year. This short video describes how you can use a Christmas tree for the short holiday, then plant it in your yard to enjoy for many years to come.

Punderson State Park

This coming winter be sure to take a look at all that Ohio's many state parks have to offer for your family. Punderson State park is one of many with great outdoor and indoor activities that your family will be sure to love.

Prescribed Burn

Prescribed burns are intentionally ignited fires that burn under specific conditions in a predetermined area, to attain planned resource management objectives. Every year the Ohio DNR operates prescribed burns to help maintain our natural resources.

On November 7th, 2008 roughly 480 acres were burned at Tar Hollow State Forest to help encourage Oak tree growth and sustainability in the forest.

Tree Health

This is the time of year to asses the health of your trees. The falling of the leaves gives property owners the opportunity to take a good look at their trees.
