Browse the thumbnails in the Communications Office
catalog of over 50,000 ODNR photos

Initial installation procedures:

  1. Log onto the "N" drive (you may know it as "PCcommon").
  2. Go to the CREATIVE directory and open it.
  3. Find the directory labeled "Portfolio Browser"
  4. Open it and drag the entire Windows Portfolio Browser directory onto your computer desktop. The download may take 3 minutes.
  5. Open the Portfolio Browser on your desktop and look for the "browser" file.
  6. Double click on the "Portfolio Browser" icon (pictured here) on your computer.
  7. The program will ask where to find the catalog. Using the dropdown menu, return to the "N" drive, CREATIVE directory and double click on the file labeled "dnrphotos.fdb"
  8. Wait patiently as the thumbnails come up.

Whenever you need a photo, you may browse the thumbnails in the catalog using the software you just installed.

You will only see the thumbnail images. For larger sized, high resolution versions of the photos you have chosen, send your request listing specific filenames to mike.williams@dnr.state.oh.us or any communications staff member.
