Ashtabula County
Western Reserve Greenway - A 43 mile recreational trail extending from the City of Ashtabula to Warren in Trumbull County.
Athens County
Hockhocking Adena Bikeway - A 17 mile non-motorized recreational trail on the old Columbus and Hocking Valley Railroad bed, from Athens to Nelsonville.
Butler County
The Great Miami Path - The Great Connection - A planned 28 mile paved multi-use path running parallel to the Great Miami River and the Miami-Erie Canal.
Champaign County
Simon Kenton Trail - A multi-use trail linking Urbana and Champaign County to the Ohio to Erie Trail. There is now 17.9 miles of trail from downtown Springfield in Clark County to Urbana in Champaign County.
Clark County
Buck Creek Trail - A 4 mile paved accessible trail from Buck Creek State Park to downtown Springfield that connects to the Little Miami Scenic Trail.
Northern Trail - A 2.5 mile trail running north from the Buck Creek Trail and connecting to the Simon Kenton Trail in Champaign County.
Columbiana County
Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail - A 12 mile paved trail running parallel to the Little Beaver Creek between Lisbon and Leetonia.
Cuyahoga County
Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway - 17 miles of lakefront bikeway including bikepaths, signed bike routes on city streets and widened sidewalks. It is located from Lakeshore Blvd in Euclid to Edgewater Dr. in Lakewood, with 14 miles of off-road paths.
Emerald Necklace - Cleveland Metroparks established a system of parks to form a green "necklace" around Cleveland. These parks have all-purpose trails: cycling, walking, running, in-line skating, bridle trails, hiking trails and physical fitness trail.
Harrison-Dillard Trail- A north-south 3 mile shared use trail connecting Lake Erie at Gordon Park (Cleveland Lakefront State Park) and Case Western Reserve University.
Ohio & Erie Canal National Heritage Corridor

Solon to Chagrin Falls Trail - A planned 4.4 mile asphalt trail between Solon and Chagrin Falls. Contact Cleveland Metroparks for status.
Fairfield County
Fairfield County Heritage Trail Network - A planned network of public trails linking the historic areas of Fairfield County.
Franklin County
Alum Creek Multi-Use Trail - A 12 mile paved trail for bikers, joggers and hikers, an additional 4 miles is under construction. The trail runs north-south along Alum Creek connecting the Three Creeks Metropark and the City of Westerville's Heritage Park. It is part of the Ohio to Erie Trail.
Gallia County
Gallia County Bikeway - A former CSX railway right-of-way, currently under development and will stretch 28 miles from Vinton County through Gallia County to Gallipolis. Two existing crushed limestone surfaced sections are for walking and bicycle riding: 3.3 miles-Mill Creek Rd to McCormick Rd. & 4.5 miles-Kerr Rd to State Route 554.
Geauga County
Maple Highlands Trail - A 12.5 mile completed trail through Geauga County from the Lake/Geauga County line to the East Branch Reservoir an additional 8 miles are planned.
Greene County
Creekside Trail - A 10.6 mile shared-use trail that follows Shawnee Creek in Xenia to the Montgomery/Greene County line.
Jamestown Connector - 12.5 miles of completed trail connecting Xenia and Jamestown. Three additional phases need to be completed.
Hamilton County
Madeira Loveland Trail - A proposed trail connecting Madeira, Indian Hill and Symme to the Little Miami Scenic Trail.
Mill Creek Greenway - A planned multi-use trail system that will provide recreational opportunities and transportation alternatives.
Hardin County
Phoebe Snow Railtrail Tallgrass Prairie Trail- A proposed bikeway from Marion, running through Hardin County ending at Harrod. The bikeway would cover 41 miles using the old Erie Lackawanna Railroad right-of-way.
Harrison County
Conotton Creek Trail - A new multi-use trail running through northern Harrison County. The 11.5 mile trail parallels State Route 151 and connects the Villages of Bowerston, Conotton, Scio and Jewett.
Holmes County
Holmes County Trail - 15 miles completed, and 15 more planned multipurpose trail that runs through Holmes County connecting Brinkhaven in Knox County to Fredericksburg in Wayne County.
Knox County
Kokosing Gap Trail - A paved 14 mile recreational trail connecting Mount Vernon and Danville. Built on the former Pennsylvania Railroad, the trail is one of the largest volunteer rail-trails.
Mohican Valley Trail - The 4.8 mile non-motorized trail runs from Brinkhaven to Danville. The trail connects the Kokosing Gap Trail and the Holmes County Trail. At Brinkhaven, the trail crosses the Mohican River through a 370 feet long covered bridge. The "Bridge of Dreams" is the longest covered bridge in Ohio and the second longest in the US.
Lake County
Lake Metroparks Trail - A completed 4.5 mile bike/hike paved trail from an unused railroad right-of-way from Lake Erie to the Geauga County line.
Licking County
Blackhand Gorge Trail - A 4.3 mile paved hiking/biking path through the Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve.
Johnstown to Centerburg Trail - A proposed 22 mile trail connecting Johnstown in Licking County to Centerburg in Knox County.
Ohio Canal Greenway - The Ohio Canal Greenway is a 3.8 mile multi-purpose recreational trail located on the old Penn Central Railroad right-of-way, located between Canal Park in Hebron and State Route 79 in Buckeye Lake, south of the Village of Hebron.
Thomas J Evans Trail - A 14 mile paved recreational trail from the west side of Newark, through Granville and Alexandria, to Johnstown.
Panhandle Recreational Trail - A 7 mile asphalt recreational trail from the east side of Newark to Hanover.
Lucas County
University/Park Trail - A 6.3 mile recreational trail extending from Sylvania to the University of Toledo.
Mahoning County
MetroParks Bikeway - A 11 mile paved trail runs from Western Reserve Road in Canfield Township to the Mahoning County/Trumbull County Line Road in Austintown Township.
Stavich Bicycle Trail - A 12 mile asphalt paved bike path from Struthers, Ohio to New Castle, Pennsylvania in Lawrence County. The trail originally served as the railbed for the Penn-Ohio interurban trolley.
Marion County
C, D & M Trail (Columbus, Delaware & Marion Electric Train Line) - A proposed bikeway from the City of Marion south to the Village of Prospect. Proposed to start in Delaware and end at the Marion/Delaware County line.
Medina County
Chippewa Trail - A rail-trail from Chippewa Road to Ryan Road in Lafayette Township.
Lester Trail - A 3.2 mile hiking/biking trail from Abbeyville Road to Lester Road in York Township.
Mercer County
Celina Coldwater Bikeway - A 4.5 mile paved trail from Coldwater to Celina and Grand Lake St Marys.
Montgomery County
Creekside Trail in Montgomery County (H-Connector Bikeway) - A 6.5 mile trail from the Eastwood Metropark to the Greene/Montgomery County line (connecting to the Greene County Section of the Creekside Trail).
Mad River Bikeway - A 2.8 mile asphalt bikeway linking the River Corridor Bikeway and Eastwood Metropark.
Horace M Huffman River Corridor Bikeway - A 22.6 mile bikeway running along the Great Miami River from Sinclair Park to Crains Run Metropark. AKA as the southern segment of the Great Miami River Recreational Trail.
Wolf Creek Railtrail - A 15 mile paved trail connecting Trotwood, Brookville and Verona. Sycamore State Park is adjacent to the trail.
Muskingum County
Muskingum Recreational Trail - A 10 mile paved trail under development that follows the Muskingum River from Zanesville to Dresden. A half mile section is completed at the bridge that crosses the Muskingum River.
Portage County
Headwaters Trail - This 7 mile crushed limestone surfaced trail connects Garrettsville Village Park to Mantua Village Park and is suitable for non-motorized recreation. Horse riding is allowed along the trail shoulder.
Towner’s Woods Rail Trail - A 1.5 mile cinder multi-use trail in Franklin Township starting at Towner’s Woods Park.
Richland County
Mansfield Historic Bike Trail - Proposed 10 mile trail beginning at North Point Lake Park, running past the historic Mansfield Reformitory and continuing to the Richland/Ashland County line. The west end connects to the Richland B&O trail.
Richland B&O Trail - A 18.4 mile paved rail-trail running through Butler, Bellville, Lexington and Mansfield.
Stark County
Nickelplate Trail - A multi-use trail developed by Louisville. The rail-trail portion is 1.5 miles long and connects to smaller paths within Metzger Park. The proposed extension would provide a connection from Louisville to Minerva.
Sippo Valley Trail - The 9 mile rail-trail runs from Bottoms Park in Massilon to Village Green Park in Dalton (Wayne County). The trail is paved from Massilon to State Route 93. The surface is crushed limestone from SR 93 to Dalton.
Summit County
Bike and Hike Trail - One of the first rail to trail conversions, this 27 mile trail runs from Hudson Drive in Stow north to Route 8 in Boston Heights.
Wood County
Slippery Elm Trail - A 13.5 mile asphalt paved multi-use trail from Bowling Green, through Portage and Rudolph, to North Baltimore.
