Winter Birding

Bird watching is a popular, four-season sport. Explore the wonders of winter bird watching at a variety of locations in and around Geauga County. LaDue Reservoir, less than 10 miles south of Punderson State Park, attracts a variety of winter waterfowl, bald eagles, eastern bluebirds, American robins and cedar waxwings. Holden Arboretum (14 miles north) and several locations along the Lake Erie shoreline offer excellent viewing opportunities – of which all are within a 23-26 mile drive of the park.
