Your task is to work with a group of writers to design and write articles for a publication about boating in Ohio. (This is a type of publication that might appear in a newspaper, magazine or website as a special feature section.) You and each of the members of your group will write one article for the publication. You will also work with your group to organize the articles for the publication including illustrations and other design features.
The purpose of the publication is to introduce boating to people in your local community, many of whom may not be familiar with boating or boating issues. The publication will explain what type of boating opportunities are available, how to boat safely and how to respect others and the environment when boating.
Your article will be evaluated using a grading rubric.
Finally, each group will present its publication to the entire class.
