Your task is to work with a group of writers to design and write articles for a publication about outdoor activities in Ohio. (This is a type of publication that might appear in a newspaper, magazine or website as a special feature section.) You and each of the other members of your group will write one article for the publication. You will also work with your group to organize the articles for the publication including illustrations and other design features.
The purpose of the publication is to introduce people to outdoor activities and the value of experiencing nature. The publication will explain why it is important to do things outdoors, what type of outdoor activities are available and how to respect others and the environment when engaging in outdoor activities. These outdoor activities are those directly related to experiences with nature such as hunting, fishing, bird watching, kayaking and hiking. The outdoor activities do not include organized school sports such as football, baseball, track, tennis and others that take place outdoors, but do not involve direct experiences with nature.
Your article will be evaluated using a grading rubric.
