Jeff Ferrara- Canton City Schools Science Teacher Lehman Middle School Equipment loan through Stark County Science and Math on the Move (SAMM) Nancy Baker-Cazan- Soil and Water test consultant

This study was conducted in Stark County Ohio. Seven test sites were used in the fall and spring. The most northern test site was a intermittent stream named Swartz Ditch near the Portage county boarder. The Swartz Ditch flows into the Middlebranch Creek. The Middlebranch and Eastbranch combine and flow into the Nimishillen Creek. The last test site is on the Nimishillen at Sandy Valley Community Park. The flow of the Nimishillen continues into the Tuscawaraus River which flows into the Muskingmum River, then into the Ohio and finishing in the Mississippi leading the Gulf of Mexico.

An interesting note of the northern Swartz Ditch test site is that it is at a contential divide. All water north of this site will flow to Lake Erie.
