ODNR's Division of Recycling & Litter Prevention distributed over 2,400 Lucking Coloring Books and crayons to youth throughout the crowd at this year's event.  According to Todd Wielinski, Operations Manager for Rumpke Recycling, the 2011 Red, White & Boom was the highest total volume to date.  Rumpke Recycling collected over 23.87 tons of recycled materials!  The event featured 250 recycling containers throughout the area for the 2011 Red, White & Boom.  The division aimed to provide easily accessible recycling containers and to educate attendees about recycling.
