Conservation Engineering and Technical Assistance

Serve as conservation engineering administrator. This program provides oversight
and engineering approval for conservation projects such as: animal waste storage structures,
stream bank stability projects, water control structures, channel design projects, and
erosion/sediment control practices. Assistance is in conjunction with Ohio Agricultural
Pollution Abatement Law, Ohio Petition Ditch Laws, and/or USDA Farm Bill Programs.
This program is also responsible for oversight of the Agricultural Impact Mitigation
Agreement (AIMA) for pipeline construction projects throughout Ohio.

Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) Program Specialists
Based in Findly Ohio - Work with 20 Soil and Water Conservation Districts in
northwest Ohio as Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) Projects Coordinator assisting WLEB programs
such as the WLEB Conservationists. State Coordinator for the Conservation Action Project(CAP)
a non-profit 501 c-3 organization in a seven county area in NW Ohio Act as liaison between
local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) and State and Federal Agencies in
developing and implementing conservation programs for the State of Ohio. Supervise development
and implementation of soil and water conservation programs. Analyze planning and administration
of natural resource programs, direct and supervise various non-point source pollution abatement
activities and develop technical reports associated with design and construction, provide
training and supervision in both technical and administrative responsibilities, assist supervisors
and employees in gathering information concerning conservation needs, implement environmental,
conservation, sediment control and livestock waste education program activities, evaluate local
SWCD needs relating to legislation, finance, personnel and program development. Serve as
Lake Erie CREP Coordinator for 27SWCD’s in the basin. State Coordinator for the Conservation
