The brilliance of color in Ohio’s Fall Foliage will only add to the excitement of a game of disc golf. Courses for this increasingly popular sport can be found around the state. With over 16 challenging courses, this fall will be the season to improve on players’ games. ODNR has the list of where these courses can be found.
NORTHWEST Independence Dam State Park (Defiance County) – Let your disc blaze through the fall brilliance at this park’s disc golf course. East Harbor State Park (Ottawa County) – This 10-hole course will offer challenges and rewards for players as they cruise through the colorful trees and shores at this state park. Van Buren State Park (Van Buren County) – Compete on the 9-hole course that traverses open picnic areas, wooded pines, rolling autumn terrain along the lake shore and shaded areas throughout the park. The course begins and ends at the west end picnic area.
SOUTHWEST Buck Creek State Park (Clark County) – Try your hand at the challenging18-hole course set within scenic Clark County this fall. Hueston Woods State Park (Butler/Preble counties) – Vibrant leaves will surround the game on this course. Great Seal State Park (Ross County) – A long18-basket disc golf course is located at the Ireland picnic area. Rocky Fork State Park (Highland County) – Make your way through the color-bursting course at South Beach. Pike Lake State Park (Ross/Pike counties) – Discs will sail past shades of red, orange, and yellow on this disc golf course.
NORTHEAST Findley State Park State Park (Lorain County) – The touch of fall color will enhance your game on this already beautiful course. Portage Lakes State Park (Summit County) Punderson State Park (Geauga County) Wingfoot Lake State Park (Portage County)
SOUTHEAST Dillon State Park (Muskingum Couny) Forked Run State Park (Meigs County) – Spend a crisp autumn afternoon competing with your friends on this disc golf course.
CENTRAL Alum Creek State Park (Delaware County) Delaware State Park (Delaware County) – Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the natural beauty along the disc golf course at this state park.
