WHAT is Ohio Water Education Program?
The Ohio Water Education Program (OWEP) is a coordinated effort by several water agencies and organizations to develop a comprehensive water education program for Ohio.
WHO are the sponsors?
OWEP is sponsored by the Water Management Association of Ohio / Water Resources Foundation of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, The Ohio State University Water Resources Center, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
WHAT is OWEP's mission?
The mission of the Ohio Water Education Program is to promote the wise utilization and protection of water resources in Ohio by bringing together people and programs to provide education and information concerning water, one of Ohio's most critical and remarkable natural resources.
HOW is this mission going to be accomplished?
OWEP currently provides two programs to fulfill this mission:
Water Education Resource Center and
Ohio Project WET Materials
The Water Education Resource Center provides access to information on:
- existing water education programs,
- water education materials and resources,
- water education resource people, and
- a network of individuals and organizations interested in water education.
Using a database, the Center provides searches by subject or interest.
