Recreational Marine Loan Program - This program is available to any privately owned marina planning a project that serves the boating public. Applications are accepted at any time. Cooperative Boating Facility Grant - Application postmark deadline is April 1. You must use the revised packet (PDF [186K] or MSWord [668K]). For more information, contact Julie McQuade, 614-265-6443.

Recreational Harbor Evaluation Program - Application deadline is April 1. You must use the revised packet (PDF [80K] or MSWord [458K]). For more information, contact Phil Miller, 614-265-6497.

Boating Infrastructure Grant Program (BIG Program) - For the construction of transient mooring facilities for recreational boats 26' and over in length. Application deadline is August 1.

Clean Vessel Act Grant - For construction and renovation of waste reception facilities for recreational vessels. Application deadline is October 1.

Boating Safety Education Grant - Deadline for 2009 grants is October 24, 2008. The grant packet for applying for 2009 grants isn't available until the summer of 2008, but the 2008 grant packet would be helpful as a planning tool. The 2008 grant packet is available in PDF [PDF; 685 K] or Microsoft Word [DOC; 1.4 Meg]. Navigational Aids Grant Program - Buoys and signs to mark Ohio's waterways can be provided to political subdivisions at no charge. Application deadline is November 1. If you are requesting to place buoys or signage on federal waters, you will need US Coast Guard permit CG-2554 [PDF; 219k] which gets mailed to ATTN: PATON; Command OAN; 9th Coast Guard District; Private Aids Rm 2083; 1240 East 9th St; Cleveland, OH 44199-2060. Marine Patrol Grants - For the establishment or operation and maintenance of marine patrols. Application deadline is December 31. Grant applications for 2008 are being processed. The grant packet for 2009 is not yet available; downloading the 2008 packet might help you plan your application (PDF [493K] or MSWord [837K]). If you choose the MSWord version, you will need to also download IRS Form W-9 and OBM forms 1234, 3456, and 3457 (see "Other Forms You May Need" at left).
